Tigrinya is the principal language of Eritrea and is documented to have been found in text around 13th century. Growing up in the diaspora didn’t always present opportunities to practice my mother’s native language outside of the home. It doesn’t have to be that way for everyone else, and through this small grammar lesson I wish to encourage other Diaspora Eritreans to practice their pronunciation and grammar of our beautiful tongue.
